Counselling that Respects Your Beliefs and Values
At Whole Mind & Body Counselling, our qualified counsellors provide compassionate support that honours your personal and religious beliefs. We draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, with a primary focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients navigate and manage difficult thoughts and emotions.
Founder Tabitha Simpson also holds additional training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and applies Polyvagal principles to all of her sessions to guide clients in understanding and befriending their nervous system. This approach supports the rewiring of neural pathways, promoting healing that benefits both mental and physical health.
As an Integrative Mind–Body Therapist, I use evidence-based approaches that blend modern psychology with mind–body awareness. My primary framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which supports clients to relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions through mindfulness and acceptance, while taking steps toward what truly matters to them. I also integrate specialised approaches such as Trauma-Focused ACT and ACT-informed support for ADHD, tailored to individual needs.
I also draw on Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and neuroscience-informed polyvagal principles to support nervous system regulation and retraining. These approaches help the brain and body relearn safety, often easing ongoing pain and other persistent symptoms by supporting nervous system balance, alongside healthier inflammatory responses, calmer stress reactions, and greater connection and resilience.
Additional modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which offer practical skills for managing thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Together, these approaches create a flexible and compassionate framework that supports balance in both mind and body.
