Integrative Mind-Body Coaching & Education
At Whole Mind & Body, I provide practical coaching, psychoeducation and wellbeing education to groups and individuals. Alongside a Diploma of Counselling and Graduate Certificate of Psychology, I also bring additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy and trauma informed, mind-body approaches to my work.
Each session is designed to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and nervous-system responses.
My approach draws on evidence-informed psychological frameworks, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside neuroscience-informed mind-body education.
You'll learn practical skills to notice unhelpful mental patterns, make space for difficult thoughts and emotions, understand your body's responses, and take actions that align with your values.
The goal isn’t to feel good all the time — it’s to live well, even when life is hard.
Our thoughts, emotions, nervous system and physical experiences can influence one another in complex ways.
Through neuroscience-informed psychoeducation, you'll learn about the autonomic nervous system, stress responses, pain science and the ways our brains and bodies can learn patterns of protection.
Understanding these processes can help you make sense of your experiences with greater curiosity and compassion, while learning practical ways to respond to thoughts, emotions and body sensations.
I draw on principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy and nervous-system education to teach practical mind-body skills.
This education is designed to complement - not replace - appropriate medical or mental-health care.
As the proverb says, “A calm heart gives life to the body.”
Sometimes you've already done a great deal to look after yourself, yet your body still seems highly sensitive or reactive.
You may experience persistent discomfort, fatigue, tension or other physical symptoms, and understandably want to better understand the role the brain and nervous system can play in how we experience and respond to physical sensations.
Your physical experiences are real. Learning about pain science, stress physiology and nervous-system responses does not mean that symptoms are 'all in your head.'
Psychoeducation can provide another piece of the puzzle: helping you understand how the brain and body communicate, how protective responses can become learned, and what practical skills may support a greater sense of safety and flexibility.
Persistent or unexplained physical symptoms should also be appropriately assessed and managed with your medical or allied-health professionals.
Whole Mind & Body brings together practical psychological skills, mind-body education and values-based coaching.
Rather than promising to remove every difficult thought, feeling or body sensation, the focus is on helping you understand your experiences and build skills for responding to them with greater flexibility.
You can learn to notice what your mind is doing, understand your nervous system's protective responses, practise helpful regulation skills, reconnect with your values and choose actions that move you toward the life you want to live.
Because learning to work with your mind and body - rather than constantly fighting them - can create more space for the things that matter.
Because when we learn to live in harmony with our mind and body — instead of fighting them — we send powerful signals of safety, compassion, and calm. And that’s when surviving becomes living, and living becomes meaningful again.
